CONSUMER TESTING SERVICES
Consumer Testing Services offers services in four main sectors : 

• Softlines -Yarns, Fabrics, Apparels, Home Textiles, Made-Up's, Specialty Textiles, Functional Textiles, Accessories, Trims, Footwear, Leather & Latex Products.

• Hardlines - Home Improvement, DIY, Hardware, Houseware, Furniture, Toys, Juvenile products, Premiums, Sporting Goods, Personal & Home Care Products, Automotive Parts, Packaging and Personal Protective Equipments.

• Food - All food products of Animal & Plant Origin, including Fresh Produce, Primary Processed and Value Added Foods, Packaged Drinking Water, Beverages including Alcoholic, Carbonated and Non-carbonated, Animal Food & Feed.

• Electricals & Electronics - Consumer Electronics, Household Appliances, IT & Telecommunication Equipments, Audio & Video Luminaries, Automotive E & E, Medical Electronics, Electrical & Electronic components.

The various services are :

1. Testing Services
SGS tests product quality and performance against various material, performance, safety and regulatory standards. SGS operates state-of-the-art laboratories which are certified to ISO / IEC 17025 by the National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories, offer a full range of testing services for finished products, materials or components based on defined standards, regulations and client's performance requirements. 

2. Inspection Services
SGS inspects and verifies the quantity, weight and quality of traded goods. Visual inspections are carried out the supplier's premises at different stages of production according to defined sampling procedures. Supervision of Container Stuffing Services can also be undertaken.

3. Technical & Social Assessment
SGS provides solutions in CSR, Factory Quality Assessment, Food Safety, Regulatory Advisory Service to manufacturers, retailers and buying houses in the form of Code of Conduct assessments which covers social, security, technical, environment and safety norms stated in various standards. We have a team of qualified and locally based auditors who have been trained to carryout audits for various standards and codes like SA8000,WRAP,FLA,ETI,BRC, BSCI, ICS, CT-PAT and ICTI.

4. Certification Services
SGS certifies that products, systems or services meet the requirements of standards set by governments, standardization bodies or by SGS customers. SGS also develops and certifies its own standards.

5. Training & Workshops
In these dynamic times, SGS offers a selected range of highly informative and interactive programs, both on a public and in-house basis. These provide the basis for self development and staff development in areas of Product Knowledge and Quality and Key Skills, in turn enhancing an organization's performance and productivity.
