SAPICA - Show Window of the Best Mexican Footwear
The President of SAPICA, C.P. Francisco Aguirre, stated that in its forty ninth edition, The International Trade Show for Footwear and Leather Goods (SAPICA) will once again become the show window of Mexico's internationally recognized footwear. SAPICA is the most important trade show of its kind in all of Latin America, the second biggest on the continent, and the fourth most important globally. With the participation of eight thousand buyers, we are expecting the sale of 12 million pairs of shoes, a record that we hope to obtain this coming expo that will take place October 18 to 21. Promotion and Competitiveness One of the main objectives for this coming expo will be to highlight the quality of Mexico's footwear. "In light of the international competition that the nation's product faces, it is fundamental that we stress its strengths and quality." C.P. Francisco Aguirre stated. As well as being a manufacturer of ladies footwear, he also explained that because of the existing competition in the global markets, the diffusion of Mexican footwear's qualities is paramount. "SAPICA," he stated, "has been turned into a space of great importance and prestige in the international markets." Proof of this is the participation and assistance of visitors from European, Latin American and North American countries. Its pavilions will house high fashion footwear, casual wear, dress shoes for men, dress shoes for women, sports wear and children's footwear. The Western area will feature boots and belts, and the leather goods areas will feature belts, purses, wallets, briefcases and leather wear. "SAPICA is the perfect stage for the diffusion of fashion tendencies." specified C.P. Aguirre. "The benefits of the trade show," he added, "must be exploited and used to the fullest. This has to be done in order to appreciate the quality of Mexican footwear, especially in this day and age when competition from manufacturers from other countries has become noticeably greater." During an interview, he also added that the national and international projection of footwear presented at SAPICA will contribute to the revitalization of this particular field of Mexican commerce. "It will strengthen the chain of exportation as well as the national markets!" He stated. Interest in SAPICA "Since its establishment in 1974, SAPICA's transcendence grows as well as the interest of national manufacturers to participate in it." C.P. Francisco Aguirre added. This amazing response, he explained, has made the promoters bring about important adjustments and changes in the organization. Once these have been determined with clarity, they will be presented to the public. "Another aspect that strengthens this trade show," he added, "is the combination and creation of the chain; supplier-leather-footwear-leather goods, here in Mexico. With this cluster strengthened and united, the possibilities for operation and sale are heightened. Once this is accomplished, we can establish profitable agreements that will benefit both manufacturers and buyers." "Furthermore, the concept of SAPICA as a show window for Mexico's footwear and its efforts to strengthen the image of its quality products will be the tonic for coming events." C.P. Aguirre concluded. |
