Indian Shoe Bazaar - Fairs: MosLeather June 2003

The fifth "Mosleather" exhibition which was organized 4-6 June in Moscow exhibition center Gostiny Dvor linked together the producers and traders of the different kinds of finished leather, leather goods and leather garments from nine countries.

Italian, Turkish, Spanish, English, Chinese, Indian, Netherlands, Serbian and, of course, Russian companies presented their production on about 2000 square meters of net space.

For the first time this year "Mosleather" was hold separately from "Mosshoes Technology" fair and the emphasis was made on leather garments. Almost half of the fair space was occupied by Turkish producers. It was not surprising, because Turkey has reached the dominant position in the Russian leatherwear market. 26 companies from this country presented leather garments for season autumn - winter season 2004.However, both visitors and participants have noticed the international character of the fair. "We are pleasantly surprised that this is not entirely Turkish exhibition" - said the visitors of one of the Italian stands.

The international character of the fair was one "Mosleather" with other similar fairs of Russia. The organizers expect the further increase in the numbers of countries joining the fair next year.

The fair has attracted about thousand trade visitors who are mostly operators from Moscow and other regions of our large country with varied climatic areas. There were no accidental people at the fair.

In general, the companies were satisfied with the participation in "Mosleather" and the volume of commercial transactions. For some the fair was useful for survey of the Russian market. Within the framework of "Mosleather " the fashion shows were passed of the leatherwear on coming season. In general, Mosleather has successfully started in a new shape and will extend further.

In 2004 the fair is planned on 13-15 July.
