China - The Biggest Shoe Base In The World
China is a big shoe making country in the world. Its total footwear output reached 6,200 million pairs in 2002, accounting for 53% of the total shoe production worldwide. As well as China is the second biggest footwear consuming market, accounting for 22% of the total consumption in the world. After China's WTO entry, its tariff rates of footwear and related products will be reduced from 24% to 15% gradually, which will bring more business opportunities for the foreign shoe materials and equipments in China market.

About Fair
Outcome of 7th fair
Int'l Shoe Machinery & Raw Materials Exhibition is widely regarded by professionals as one of four largest leather fair in Asia. In 2002 fair, booths totaled upto 1000, 32% increase to last year, The 7th fair witnessed marked improvements in terms of participation, display profile and business outcome, which attracted 450 exhibitors/ regions attended the fair, they mainly came from Italy, France, Germany, Japan, Korea, America, Canada, UK, Spain, India, Pakistan, Czech, Taiwan, HK and so on. Among them 48% were oversea exhibitors.

The fair attracted 24,093 visitors. It created a new record either in terms of stand area or in the quality of the visitor. The exhibitors were high pleased by the brisk business atmosphere at the fair, due both to the quality of the fair and to the cheerful mood of the visitors. The total volume of business reached 83.5 million USD including 33.7 million USD of signed contract and 49.8 million USD of intended contract.

Participation Fee
1. Standard Booth: 3MX3M (equipped with 3 shell walls, 1 information desk, 1 company name board, 2 spotlights, one 220v plug, carpet)

US$2000/BOOTH

2. Raw space: 27 sq. mtr. minimum

US$200/sq.mtr.

Raw space won't be offered any furniture and facilities except carpet.

Procedures
Fill in the application form and post or fax back to the organizer. Remit the 50% participation fee to the organizer as deposit of reservation. The organizer will mail out exhibitor service manual to the applicant and arrange booth in accordance with application order. The organizer has the right to return the deposit & booth.
