New Exhibitor Visage, New Layout, Best Ever Service, Attracted Record Attendance

"7th Int'l Shoe Machinery & Raw Materials Exhibition" was concluded at the newly constructed Wenzhou Int'l Convention & Exhibition Center, on Nov.15,2002. The four-day fair turned out to be a great success.

It was the biggest session in the history of Wenzhou Int'l Leather Fair in terms of stand area. The total booths up to 1000, 32% increase compared to the last edition, occupied an area of 24,000 sq. mtr. More than 400 companies from 28 countries and regions exhibited in the fair, they mainly came from Italy, France, Germany, Japan, Korea, America, Canada, UK, Spain, Indian, Pakistan, Czech, Taiwan, HK and so on. Among them 48% were oversea exhibitors.

The fair attracted 24,093 visitors. It created a new record either in terms of stand area or in the quality of the visitor. The exhibitors were high pleased by the brisk business atmosphere at the fair, due both to the quality of the fair and to the cheerful mood of the visitors. The total volume of business reached 83.5 million USD including 33.7 million USD of signed contract and 49.8 million USD of intended contract.

The fair was held in the newly constructed Wenzhou Int'l Convention & Exhibition Center. It's a milestone for the development of the international leather fair in Wenzhou. In order to provide the best service to the exhibitors, for the first time this year, we use the Visitor Scanning Systems in the registration counter. Base on the improvement of the exhibition facilities, and with the new exhibitor visage, the more professional visitors and the best ever service. The fair got a high reputation both from visitors and exhibitors. It's regarded as one of the four largest leather fairs in Asia.

Compare to the previous fair, this fair have 3 major characters that shows as below:

1. So Many Famous World Brands Give The Fair A Fresh Face

Several major group pavilions including Italy (ASSOCIAZIONE CONCIATORI TOSCANI), Taiwan (FOOTWEAR MANUFACTURES ASSOCIATION), France (UNIET) participated in the fair. Significantly, group pavilion from Italy, which was composed of 15 companies stroke a stage on shoe-materials for the first time, exhibiting the most fashionable shoe-materials in the world to its customers. As usual, Taiwan group was composed of tanners, accessory and component makers, machine manufacturers. This year they organized a group of 160 booths including Xvqing, Gaolin, Quanfeng, Runze, Chuanqi, Gaotie and so on.

World famous companies of shoe-materials and chemical gave a great support to the fair, such as Feade (Italy), SAHA (Thailand), Bayer (Germeny), DORNBUSCH (Germany), Yufa (HK), Xingxing (HK), Nabao (HK), Weiming (HK), ATC (France), Taige (Italy), Nouya (Germeny), Maingroup (Italy), Atom (Italy), Camoga (Italy), Zps (Czech). Yigao, Baomei were also attended the fair exhibiting the latest products and technology.

Meanwhile, nearly 200 companies from all over china participated in the fair too, they mainly came from Shanghai, Guangdong, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Fujian, Hena, Beijing, Dalian…

A wide spectrum including shoemaking machine, tannery machine, shoe materials, leather, leather chemicals, hardware, CAD/CAM system were presented in this fair. 

2. So Many First Time In The Fair's History

This fair was held, for the first time, in the newly constructed Wenzhou Convention & Exhibition Center and occupied a total stand area of 24,000 sqm. Which were certainly the largest of its kind in the exhibition history in Wenzhou.

This year we comprised a comprehensive display of exhibits categorized under 7 main sectors that offer extensive choices to buyers:
First floor: Taiwan Shoe Machinery Hall (A Hall), Int'l Shoe Materials & Chemicals Hall (B Hall) Shoe Materials & Chemicals Hall (C, F, H Hall).
Second floor: Int'l Shoe Machinery Hall (D Hall), Shoe Machinery Hall (E Hall).

In order to provide the best service to the exhibitors, for the first time this year, we use the Visitor Scanning Systems in the registration counter. It ensured that not only all the visitors is professional but also to get the visitor information at the first quickly time.

"Free stuffs" were also available during the exhibiting period, which provided more convenience traffic to all the visitors.

3. Record Visitor Numbers

The fair attracted 24,093 visitors coming from 45 countries and regions. This figure included 2,650 international visitors, 11% of the total.

Inside China, visitors covering the main shoe & leather industry bases such as Zhejiang(15,434), Guangzhou(2,364), Shanghai(734), Fujian(761), Jiangsu(829), Sicuan(479), Henan(92), Hebei(117), Shandong(318), Liaoning(253) and so on.

Further more, leather associations all around the world attended the fair, such as Malaysia shoe association, America shoe association, Thailand tanner association, Vietnam shoe & leather association, Taiwan Footwear Manufacture Association and so on.

A series of activities were held during the fair including «Sino-Italy Co-operation Conference & Leather Fashionable Elements Forum», «Inviting Outside Investment Conference of Western Shoe Capital Industrial Garden», «Press Conference of 7th Int'l Shoe Machinery & Raw Materials Exhibition» and so on.

The fair made a deep press both to exhibitors and visitors. It's now a very important stage for inside exhibitors to set their brand, exhibiting their products. It's also a good promotion chance for oversea brands to enter into the China market.

The next edition of the (Wenzhou) Int'l Shoe Machinery & Raw Materials Exhibition will be held on Oct.12-15, 2003, also in the Wenzhou Int'l Convention & Exhibition Center.
