CIFF and Moda Unveiling the Complete Picture of Fashion in Mainland China

Exhibitors in the China International Footwear Fair (CIFF) and Moda Shanghai are gearing up to present an exciting array of products from 3 to 5 September, 2003 at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre in Pudong, Shanghai.

Ladies' fashion handbags form a major component of Moda Shanghai. Well-famed Escada will be among the important names showcasing fabulous collections.

Pelleteria is showing leather fashion handbags under the three brands: KH Design features top-flight design and top quality leather, TACT is the classic mid-range product for the sophisticated consumer and DASH appeals to the young and trendy.

Auchamo Firenze Italia encompasses handbags but also men's accessories such as cigar cases as well as euro coin purses, wallets and jewellery boxes.

Chun Yip, a Hong Kong based company, will show cotton bags imprinted with animal photographs and PVC trim as well as imitation suede handbags with glittering animal motifs.

Aarbur and Ajanta will display exquisite Indian style handbags and leathergoods in Moda Shanghai.

The footwear collections in CIFF fit different market segments' demands. Many overseas exhibitors are excited by the prospect of expanding into the China market. The Toto Shoe Manufacturers Association, one of the leading shoe manufacturers association with over 50 years of history in Japan, will organise a group with 5 companies to exhibit at CIFF.

Another overseas exhibitor who is making an impact on China's increasingly affluent buyers is French brand Thierrry Rabotin, represented by Astika GmbH. They will present the newest collections of ladies' and men's footwear which are produced in northern Italy using special sewing technique to ensure maximum comfort.

Swear is a London brand designing distinctive trendy footwear. Its philosophy is about freedom of expression and thinking forward rather than reinventing classics.

Buyers are aware that China now caters for a very wide market spectrum and is offering footwear of excellent quality. Chickita International Ltd, of Shantou, Guangdong designs and manufactures ladies' leather fashion boots and sandals. By contrast, CMerit (Shanghai) International Ltd manufactures sports shoes with stylish designs, high quality of material and workmanship.

The organisers will introduce many new features such as pre-show appointment service and Buyer's Choice activity. Pre-show appointment service will be launched in early August online at www.aplf.com which helps the buyers and exhibitors to schedule appointments before the fairs.

In the Buyer's Choice activity, VIP buyers will vote for the outstanding exhibits. The results will be a useful reference for manufacturers in the China market.

Participants in CIFF and Moda Shanghai will be able to view catwalk fashion shows and attend fashion forecasting seminars presented by Peclers PARIS Style CENTRAL Ltd for free.
